If our parents come it’s hard to keep conversation. These are people you love and when you look into their tear filled eyes all you see is pain and regret. You put your chin up and greet them with a convincing smile and a sincere hug. Sometimes I wonder if it would be easier on them if I just stopped calling and accepting visits. Would it be selfishness or selflessness?
