We have a breed that people made. We see them being fought and abused and killed...Tia Torres stands for them. She has dedicated her life to the unending task of bringing homes to these dogs. She also gives men on parole a chance to work, to take part and to be a member of society. I see her as I would hope someday, someone would see me. Not because she stands up for dogs or people, but of WHAT is inside of her, of WHO she is. I try everyday to be that person who does the right things, and this world wears your ass out with that mission. People like her are rare but amazing. I hope to be like that... not because I want people to see me like that, but because I hope it becomes normal for people like her to take hold of this thing and make it to where treating animals, and each other well is second nature. Dear Tia, you’re an inspirational and true person. Thank you!
